Nancy and I are charter members of CrossFit Hays, signing up in February 2012 when it began as a bootcamp on the blacktop behind a fitness gym in Buda. Since CrossFit Hays moved to its current location in October 2012, we go to the box as many days a week as we possibly can (typically 5 days a week). Importantly, we combined rigorous exercise with a pale-based diet (all but one meal per week) to maximize our overall health benefits. As a result, we are remarkably healthy, in excellent condition, feel great, and look pretty darn good for folks over 60. We’ve gotten noticeably trimmer and stronger over the past 3 years thanks to outstanding coaching, great programming, support from our wonderful community of athletes, and some sweat equity our our part. Nancy and I continue to improve and achieve new personal records on a regular basis. Thank you CrossFit Hays for enabling us to reach fitness goals that seemed unattainable a few years ago.
