“I really had no idea what CrossFit was. Strength in mind and body arrives to us in all shapes and forms. Having never been to a gym I was a little apprehensive. I am learning a new language, really and Coach Leta has made all the difference. She utilizes the gym’s resources to encourage growth in technique and knowledge and genuinely appreciates that we all begin at various levels. So glad to be at CrossFit Hays.”
Tell us a little bit about yourself. I enjoy the outdoors, cooking, listening to music and spending time with my family and friends. I am a licensed realtor and really enjoy working in the growing Buda/Kyle market.
What brought you to CrossFit? My usual workout consisted of running, shooting some basketball, and filling that in with a few other excercises. I had never been to a gym but wanted to add strength training to help with bone strength. A friend of mine mentioned CrossFit Hays and so here I am!
How has CrossFit changed your life, lifestyle, level of fitness? I joined in January 2015 and I am basically learning a “new language”! I know I have more strength now and the best benefit is that each workout is different and it continues to challenge me mentally and physically.
Favorite movement? Handstand on the wall
Least favorite movement? Luckily there are no movements that I don’t like!
Name one goal and/or personal record you would like to accomplish through CrossFit. I am looking forward to lifting more weight as my technique improves.
Do you have any advice for someone who is just starting CrossFit? CrossFit Hays has a great community of members that are encouraging to each other.
