Congratulations to our May 2018 Athlete of the Month!
Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I grew up in Fredericksburg and went to college at UTSA. After graduation I moved to the Dallas area. I recently moved back to the Hill Country and currently work at a manufacturing facility in Buda. In my free time I enjoy playing golf and fishing.
What brought you to CrossFit?
I wanted to get back into shape but did not know which route to take. A friend of mine was into CrossFit and he gave me the run down on what CrossFit was about. After talking to him, I felt that CrossFit would give me better results than an ordinary gym.
How long have you been doing CrossFit?
3 months – February 2018
How has CrossFit changed your life, lifestyle, level of fitness?
After just 2 months my energy level has increased, I sleep better and my blood pressure is better than it has been in years. I really look forward to coming to class and getting my butt kicked because I know the results will be worth it.
Favorite CrossFit lift/movement?
Deadlifts and squats
Least favorite CrossFit lift/movement?
Name one goal and/or personal record you would like to accomplish through CrossFit.
I would like to get to the point where I can do all the workouts within the allotted time limit. I would also like to improve my nutrition and overall strength.
Anything else you want to add.
Everyone at CrossFit Hays has been fantastic. The coaches do an incredible job with instructions and tips. They also are great motivators, they always push you to do your best. The other CrossFit athletes are extremely supportive and are great to work with.
